CATHY ROWLEY (Owner/Director)
CATHY ROWLEY began the studio 21 years ago. The first classes were held in her garage. The studio has grown from its humble beginnings to the mega performing arts center it is today. Cathy has performed and toured throughout the Southwest and Hawaiian Islands. She danced at Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland on her winter and summer breaks from college. She has modeled and done commercials for Catalina Swimwear, Pledge, and Carpets to Go, along with choreographing for Jungle Rags Children's Clothing. Cathy has taught for Christian Youth Theatre and has been involved with the city of Temecula dance program for over 15 years. Cathy feels privileged to have a successful studio in an area where parents sincerely care about their children.
RACHEL SWINSON (Ballet Director)
Rachel received her training at Inland Dance Academy, American Ballet Theatre and San Francisco Ballet School. She has danced in the Nutcracker, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Paquita and Cinderella performing lead roles such as Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Aurora and Cinderella. Rachel performed as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in spring 2007 and performs as a soloist dancer with the Crystal Cathedral in the Glory of Easter and Glory of Christmas. Rachel has been choreographing for shows for over seven years. Some of her work includes; Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Moulin Rouge, Grease, Chicago , Cinderella and this year's production of Firebird. Rachel has developed the Temecula Valley Ballet Academywhere she will be setting even high standards of training for her staff and students.
HEATHER PAGE (Team Director)
Heather has been dancing for ten years at Cathy's Dance. In her ten years of dancing, she has danced and performed on many school and studio teams including star teams here at TVCD. She has advanced training from various studios in jazz, lyrical and ballet. In addition, Heather has been one of two assistant directors for the X-O Thermix Dance Team for five years and has been teaching at local schools for seven years where she has choreographed many regional, state and national championship winning routines. Her routines have won numerous platinum and high score awards.
WILLIE MAY (Theater Director)
Willie May had been performing all his life. He realized he had a passion for the arts when he attend CYT at a young age. Willie May has shown his talents in various entertainment venues such as: Big River & Suessical the Musical Moonlight Stage, Sequins the Musical (World Premier) Performance Riverside, Sideshow 3-D Theatricals, To Kill A Mockingbird & RENT the Musical TVP. TV/Film: CSI Miami, Without a Trace, American Dreams, Bernie Mac, Malcolm in the Middle, Joan of Arcadia & Tears of the Sun to name a few. May specialize in Theater Arts, Entertainment Business Management and Marketing. His goal is to help produce a successful Performing Arts School. Philippians 4:13
BROOKE MORRIS HOPKINS
Brooke has been teaching tap & jazz all over San DiegoCounty and Temecula for ten years. Brooke has been involved with musical theater since the age of 8, and has acted in over twenty live theater productions, and enjoys being on stage. She has competed in tap since the age of 9 and has won several National Championships, both as a soloist and as a duet with her favorite dance partner Richard Jennings. Brooke would like to thank her biggest supporter, her family for all they have done for her.
JULIE HODGE
Julie has been dancing for 24 years, including ballet and Pointe training with Ballet Pacifica. She has participated in workshops with New York City Dance Alliance, LA Dance Force and the Jazz World Congress. Julie went to PalomarCollege for 4 years and participated in the dance program. During her last year there Julie was awarded "Dancer of the Year". Julie has also got the chance to perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. Julie has been teaching at TVCD for 12 years, and enjoys working with the kids.
BRITTANY LEGER
Brittany began dancing at the young age of three and began competing in national and regional competitions at the age of four. She has taken classes from several widely known choreographers such as Zandra Thomas, Mandy and Terri Schulke, Missy Zimmer , Andrew Hubbard, and Gina Starbuck. Brittany is best known for her choreography in five different states and has received numerous choreography awards at dance competitions. Dance is and always will be Brittanys passion, and there is nothing that she enjoys more than to do what she loves every day, and to be able to teach others whats truly in her heart.
Justin Duke
Justin Duke, from a young age, has been fully invested in the arts of singing, acting and dancing. He started out with The Chrisitan Youth Theather here in the Temecula Valley at the age of 8. He starred in numerous shows with leading roles, such as, Mowgli in the Jungle Book. He began training at Temecula Dance Company at the age of 12 under the direction of Jimmy Peters. Justin danced competitively winning numerous titles regionally and nationally. He has also been an assistant choreographer/teacher for studios in Las Vegas and Baltimore. Before graduation, Justin was a Music Center Spotlight Award finalist, where he performed at the Ahmanson Theater. Upon graduation, Justin went to work for Tokyo Disneyland where he was a lead dancer in a live stage show. Currently, he is fully invested in choreography/teaching at TVCD. When Justin is not teaching dance, he is in the recording studio writing music and creating his first full length album.
KELLEY ROSE MUND
Kelly has been dancing for nineteen years. She has been teaching at Cathy's Dance for the past seven years. Kelley has performed as a dancer in the Calico Country Jubilee' at Knott's Berry Farm, and has won numerous platinum awards in her competitive history. Her choreography has been applauded with many high score and top overall awards. Kelley has been enjoying choreographing for numerous musicals in the community. Some of her credits include: Alice in Wonderland (City of Temecula 2009), Willy Wonka Jr. (Vail Ranch Middle School 2008), Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (Christian Youth Theatre 2007), and Show Choir (Margarita Middle School 2006). Kelly is currently working with the Colorado Ballet.
GREGG PAGE
Greg reads, writes and performs with equal faculty on wood winds, strings, drums, mallets and keyboards. In the 6th grade he was awarded the National Scholastic Soloist Championship on alto saxophone playing "Harlem Nocturne." He was recruited while serving in the military to play various instruments in performance ensembles representing the United States Military services. He has written and recorded music for use in films and commercials and his music was used in the marketing of Sony Playstation games and in Disney theme parks. He currently teaches and performs in a progressive instrumental fusion group.
